چکیده

Abstract In this paper potential dam sites were identified using remote sensing and GIS. Determinant factors viz., precipitation, slope, flow accumulation, soil texture, land use, geology analyzed in the GIS domain. Each factor was reclassified assigned suitable fuzzy membership values depending on their influence site potential. All fuzzified layers overlaid "Fuzzy Overlay" tool platform. Initially, a total of 26 proposed. Only seven selected proximity to nearby dams, settlements, accumulation. The with elevation, stream order, maximum storage capacity, time concentration calculated. determinant subjected ordinary least squared (OLS) regression understand relationship sites. OLS model statistics showed that all are positively correlated except slope (as low slopes more for construction). diagnostics multiple R squares adjusted R-square found be 0.835894 0.872153, respectively. study, Koenker’s (BP) statistic statistically insignificant ( p > 0.01), proving is consistent. Jarque–Bera conducted also 0.01) indicating Gaussian distribution residuals. This proves logic approach coupled powerful deciphering can applied at regional continental scale.

Regression Testing Using Fuzzy Logic

Regression testing is an immensely important process in the maintenance phase. The prioritization of test case becomes all the more important owing to the fact that it is not feasible to run all the test cases after each and every change. The proposed work dwells on the power of fuzzy expert system to make decisions which are better than the normal expert systems. The technique uses concepts li...

Development of an Improved Fuzzy Approach to Model Potential Sites for Groundwater Artificial Recharge

Delineation of potential sites for groundwater artificial recharge is an important and challenging task. The purpose of this research is to develop a new data-driven fuzzy approach to model potential sites for groundwater artificial recharge. To achieve this end, the efficient criteria of a proper site for groundwater artificial recharge were first recognized and presented as a conceptual model...

Identification of SNP interactions using logic regression.

Interactions of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) are assumed to be responsible for complex diseases such as sporadic breast cancer. Important goals of studies concerned with such genetic data are thus to identify combinations of SNPs that lead to a higher risk of developing a disease and to measure the importance of these interactions. There are many approaches based on classification met...
